R&D Engineer
I identify user needs, preferences, and behaviours through qualitative and quantitative research.
I translate findings into actionable insights by aligning them with users’ physical and cognitive abilities.
I generate design ideas that are meaningful, metaphor-driven, and grounded in everyday interactions.
I create interactive prototypes combining hardware and software to make ideas tangible and testable.
I test usability, validate concepts, and refine designs based on user feedback and interaction data.
The methods described above were applied throughout the design of all four artefacts showcased on this page. Each prototype emerged from a process grounded in metaphor-driven ideation, hands-on experimentation, and feedback-informed refinement. These tangible interfaces aim to create intuitive, meaningful ways of engaging with smart home technologies by embedding interaction into familiar household objects.
On this portfolio site, I only share the summary of the development process. If you want a more detailed step-by-step account of the fabrication process, you can find it here. With the necessary tools, you can hopefully create your own versions of the prototypes.
